Psalm 27:10
When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
America's Youth Makes Up 25% of Our Population,
But They Are 100% Of Our Future.
In the past 50 years America has seen many changes that have had a negative impact on America’s youth. One of the most significant changes happened in 1963 when the courts removed prayer from our schools. In the decade that followed divorce rates and pregnancies in girls 15 to 19 doubled, while violent crime increased by 276%.
Another significant change happened in 1973 when the courts made abortion legal. Since that decision was made, the National Right to Life Committee estimates there have been over 52 Million abortions in America. According to the Guttmacher Institute, there were 1.21 million abortions in America during 2008, with 193,600 of those abortions performed on girls between the ages of 15 and 19 in one year alone.
Many of our children face life changing decisions every day. Gangs, drugs, guns, sex, abortions … the list goes on. Someone has to tell them this is not the life God's has planned for them. Over the more than 20 years that I have worked with young people I have seen many families torn apart and hundreds of young people's lives shattered as a result of wrong decisions. But over those same twenty years, I have also had the blessing of seeing families reunited and the joy that comes from a life changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
While I understand that others are called to the far reaches of the world, I know that my mission field is here, working with the youth of America. To help me reach them I need two things of you. First, please pray for them. They face struggles every day that you cannot even imagine. Secondly, please consider partnering with me through your prayers and financial support. Yes, I am only one person but with the anointing of the Holy Spirit and your prayers and support, together we can make a difference in the lives of America’s youth.
Matthew 19:26b
With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Jude 1:22
And of some have compassion, making a difference:
